The Isle of Wight Festival returned for another standout year in 2025, drawing tens of thousands of fans to the island for a weekend packed with sun, sound, and unforgettable performances. With a headline lineup featuring Sting, Stereophonics, and Justin Timberlake, this year’s festival delivered on every level.
In a new behind-the-scenes video, Richard Gorrod and Sam Saunders from PRG’s Event Services team take us onsite for an inside look at the technical delivery that powered the Main Stage, Big Top, and River Stage.
Working across three iconic areas of the festival, the team shares what it really takes to deliver a full-scale production in a coastal environment, including structural reinforcement of video screens to withstand high winds, and the need for a flexible production setup that could adapt to each artist's individual needs.
Full Lighting, Video, and Rigging packages across the Main Stage, Big Top and River Stage
Stage setups engineered for adaptability and turnaround speed
Integrated artist-specific design elements to suit multiple genres and styles
Onsite technical support, with delivery driven by collaboration at every level
This year’s production was delivered in partnership with long-time collaborators and festival stakeholders — including Iain Whitehead (Production North), creative support from Solo Music Agency, and main stage lighting design by Andy Hurst. The result was a show that looked as good from the front row as it did from the FOH.
Whether you’re a festival fan curious about what goes into a production like this, or a fellow technician looking to understand the scale of delivery, the video gives a rare glimpse into the precision, planning and teamwork that make it all happen.
